Welcome to My Healthy Mind Psychology!

We are Clinical Psychologists who specialise in counselling for Adults in the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie area in a warm and supportive environment. We also offer online therapy using Zoom Australia wide.

We have a particular interest and expertise in the treatment of all types of anxiety disorders. My Healthy Mind Psychology runs a OCD and Anxiety Clinic where we treat excessive worrying or Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), all subtypes of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) – especially all forms of Pure O, Social Anxiety, Panic attacks, Agoraphobia, Phobias, and Health Anxiety. We are highly competent in treating a wide range of other psychological issues, for a full list of conditions we treat click here.

We use evidence-based treatments to ensure you are receiving the most up to date and effective intervention for your issue. We predominately use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which has been shown to be the most effective treatment for most issues, especially anxiety disorders. We also  employ different therapy approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness based treatments, and Compassion Focused Therapy, depending on the specific needs of the client. At the initial consultation we will discuss treatment options and develop a tailored treatment plan to address your issue.

At My Healthy Mind Psychology we understand it is often difficult to make a decision to attend a therapy session. However, we believe that if you have a specific issue you would like to work on or want to discuss ways to get more meaning out of life, then engaging in counselling often leads to positive changes in the long term.
